Dear Family and Friends,

Once again! I am thrilled to inform you that Shine-A-Light21 will be having its 5th Annual Mother's Day event on Saturday, May 10, 2025! ​

​

We are looking forward to celebrating all of the phenomenal moms, stepmoms, grandmas, aunties, soon-to-be moms, and any woman who stepped up in the place of a mom! Shine-A-Light21/Linda's Light21 is here to celebrate you! ​

​

There will be food, fun, activities, door prizes, and 50/50 raffles. Besides our traditional basketball tournament, we will have our very first "FAMILY GAME DAY" too. This entails board games, card games, and giant-sized games, as well as outdoor family fun. So don't miss out on the FUN! ​

Please note that we have increased our monthly homeless feeding this year, thanks to our dedicated "Project 121" donors! To date, we have fed over 4,000 people and counting which includes our donations throughout the years to The Bowery Mission. We could not have done this without you! 

​

This year, our t-shirts will be orange, representing "gun violence and world hunger" awareness. The t-shirt fundraiser raised enough money to go towards our monthly homeless initiatives. We are very thankful for last year's scholarship winners. Last year's essay winners, Milan and Angelise, both won $1,000 each. In total, we have raised $8,000 in scholarships for eight scholars and we're looking forward to seeing who the next two Linda essay contest winners will be!
